DESCRIPTION:Join the Knoxville Poetry Slam and Ijams Nature Center for a hauntingly fun night of haikus\, poems\, sonnets\, and more at the Spooky Poetry Slam!\nThis event features an Open Mic for poets who wish to share their work and a poetry slam where you can bring out your best work for all to hear. Bring three 3-minute poems.\nNo props\, no musical accompaniment. Original work ONLY (not all works have to be spooky in nature!). If you score high enough\, you’ll move on to the next round.\n\nTickets are $10 online or at the door. Parking passes will be included in your ticket cost thanks to our sponsor: Boston Beer Co.\nDoors open at 6:45 pm; the mic officially opens at 7 pm.\nCome on in to sign up and get your name on the list to get your spooky spoken word on! \nThe Ijams concession area and beer garden will be available for food and beverage purchases. No outside coolers or alcohol permitted. We will be indoors for this event!\nThis event\, like all Knoxville Poetry Slam events\, is considered all ages; however\, parents\, please use your best discretion when bringing little ones.\nSo come out and invite your friends for some early Halloween fun that you won’t want to miss!\nThe Ijams Sunset Socials are sponsored by: Boston Beer Company.
